Schneider Bräuhaus – The inn with a long history. Our Bavarian restaurant in Munich is one of the most traditional inns in the state capital. At the same place of work as today, in Tal 7, the first middle-class wheat beer was brewed around 150 years ago. Previously only the nobility were allowed to drink wheat beer (as it is also called). With the acquired brewing license, Georg I. Schneider managed to build up one of the most renowned Munich breweries. It has been brewed in Lower Bavaria since the end of the Second World War, but we serve the noble beer here in a cozy inn atmosphere. There is also typical Bavarian cuisine. Our specialty: the authentic Munich Kronfleisch cuisine! The location of our restaurant could hardly be better: From the Schneider Bräuhaus in Munich's historic old town, you can walk to some of the most important sights in just a few minutes. Located between Marienplatz and Isartor, you can admire the city in all its glory. Added to this is the great connection to public transport. Whether you head for our Bavarian restaurant for a morning pint before your city tour, for lunch in between or as the grand finale - you will be delighted!

At the Schneider Bräuhaus, we not only serve dishes based on original recipes from Bavaria. As one of the few restaurants in Munich, our chefs even master the art of Bavarian Kronfleisch cuisine. What's behind it? Today only the best cuts of meat are often valued, but in a time when people did not know abundance, the animal was still processed in its entirety. That also means the innards, such as the diaphragm of beef, veal or pork. This part, known as the crown meat, can turn into a real delicacy when properly processed. For the sake of simplicity, we Bavarians call the preparation of all innards Kronfleisch cuisine. In our inn, kidneys, spleen, sweetbreads, liver and lungs are served in addition to veal crowns.
There is always room for good company in our brewery. Please understand that due to the lack of small tables, we cannot always offer a separate table for each "small" reservation. We therefore allow ourselves to sit together several parties at a large table. With this in mind, we wish you fruitful discussions and thank you for your understanding!
If you want to enjoy real Bavarian cuisine, there is no better address in Munich than the Schneider Bräuhaus. Enjoy the classics - suckling pig, knuckle of pork or Schneider's Aventinus beer roast. Meatless traditional dishes such as Kasspatzn or homemade Reiberdatschi are also on the menu. Especially liked to eat: Our authentic Kronfleisch cuisine.
